This grand project represents one of the largest economic development projects in Georgia's history. The project is expected to create over 8,100 direct jobs at the facility, with thousands more indirect jobs in the supply chain and surrounding communities.

HMGMA (Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America) in Ellabell, GA, is a state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) and battery manufacturing facility. Announced in 2022, the facility, spanning over 2,900 acres, is designed to produce a wide range of electric vehicles for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis brands, as well as batteries through a partnership with SK On. Expected to create thousands of jobs, HMGMA aims to bolster the U.S. EV market and support Hyundai's goal of becoming a leader in sustainable mobility. The main production is slated to began in 2025.
